PAIR COLLAR TRANSmITTER TO THE HANDHELD RECEIVER

Prior to use, you must pair the handheld receiver to the collar transmitter.  The handheld receiver can
support up to 9 collars at a time.  You must repeat this procedure for each collar transmitter that you want to
monitor with this handheld receiver.

TO PAIR THE INITIAL COLLAR TRANSmITTER TO THE HANDHELD RECEIVER:
ImPORTANT:

The collar transmitter must be within 15 cm of the handheld receiver. If multiple collar

transmitters will be paired with the handheld receiver, remove the batteries from the additional collar
transmitters or move them at least 6 metres away from the collar transmitter being paired.

1.  Press and hold the ON/OFF Button until the

Signal Strength Indicator

 lights from bottom to top.

The handheld receiver will beep twice and the

Power/Standby Indicator

 will start blinking.

2.  Press and hold the Transmitter Channel Button. The handheld receiver will vibrate to indicate it

is communicating with the collar transmitter.  When you hear three rising beeps the receiver and
transmitter are successfully paired.  The

Tracking Signal Display

lights up and you will hear a beep

at one second intervals.  On the collar transmitter, the GREEN LED will start blinking to indicate the
collar is ON and is successfully paired to the handheld receiver.

TO PAIR ADDITIONAL COLLAR TRANSmITTERS TO THE HANDHELD RECEIVER:

Note: When pairing several collar transmitters with one handheld receiver, you may want to record the channel
number on each collar with removable tag.

1.  Press and release the Transmitter Channel Button until the next available channel number blinks on

the

Transmitter Channel Display

.

2.  Press and hold the Transmitter Channel Button. The handheld receiver will vibrate to indicate it

is communicating with the collar transmitter.  When you hear three rising beeps the receiver and
transmitter are successfully paired.  The

Tracking Signal Display

will light up and you will hear a beep

at one second intervals.  On the collar transmitter, the GREEN LED will start blinking to indicate the
collar is ON and is successfully paired to the handheld receiver.

3.  Repeat this process for each collar transmitter to be used.

fIT THE COLLAR TRANSmITTER

To ensure the effectiveness of this product and the comfort and safety of your dog, check
the fit of his collar frequently.  If you notice that your dog is experiencing skin irritation,
discontinue use of the collar for a few days. If the condition persists beyond 48 hours,
see your veterinarian.

ImPORTANT:

The proper fit and placement of the collar transmitter is

important for effective use.

TO ENSURE A PROPER fIT:

1.  With your dog standing (

4A

), centre the collar transmitter so that the

transmitter module is under the dog’s neck with the
LEDs facing forward (

4B

). The antennae should be on

the dog’s left.

2.  The collar transmitter should fit snugly, yet loose enough

to allow one finger to fit between the strap and your
dog’s neck (

4C

).

3.  Allow your dog to wear the collar for several minutes,

and then recheck the fit.  Check the fit again as your
dog becomes more comfortable wearing the
collar transmitter.

HOLDING THE RECEIVER
To ensure proper operation, hold the handheld receiver as follows:

1.  Hold the receiver with one hand at eye level in front of you.
2.  Place your thumb in the slot on the receiver.
3.  Check the direction by turning in a full circle of 360 degrees at times (

5A

).

4.  Use a continuous left-to-right sweeping motion in a 180 degree arc

or more when tracking to maintain the location.

5.  Check the location by facing different directions regularly.

PRACTICE TRACKING

If you are using the STEALTH™ Radio Locator
for the first time, it is recommended that you
practice operating the system without your dog.

To practice tracking:

1.  Go outside to a clear area away from cars and buildings.
2.  Place the collar transmitter on a tree or post in an open area.
3.  Move 50 m away from the collar transmitter.
4.  Hold the handheld receiver in a horizontal position in front of you (

5B

).

5.  Slowly turn in a circle (

5C

).  The

Tracking Signal Display

 lights up GREEN as

you turn (

5D

).  The receiver beeps at one second intervals.

6.  When the handheld receiver has tracked the collar, the receiver stops

beeping and one of the tracking displays turns RED to indicate the
direction of the collar from your location (

5E

).

Note: If you turn too fast, some lights may remain unlit.  Turn back to light them
up before continuing.  If you turn too slowly, the first lights may go out before
you have completed a full circle.  Start over again until you get the right pace.

fINDING THE LOCATION TO yOUR DOG

In order to track the location of your dog, you must perform a left to right
sweeping motion to maintain a fix on the collar transmitter.

ImPORTANT:

Large obstacles, such as hills or rocks, may distort the signal.

If you have trouble in locating the location, go to an open location elevated from
the surroundings.

If you point the handheld receiver down during tracking,
the handheld receiver will go into Standby Mode and the
location will reset. The collar transmitter must be relocated
when the handheld receiver is no longer in Standby Mode.
