11.4.4. Checking oil level axle hubs
The axle hubs ( Picture 11-10 ) of the driven axles are filled with oil.
Checking the oil level must be done as follows:
1. Make sure that the vehicle stands on a flat horizontal surface;
2. Before checking, the wheel must be positioned in such a way that the arrow is pointing
upwards ( fill );
3. Remove filler plug B from the opening and replace the sealing ring;
4. Check if the oil level reaches the filler neck;
- If necessary, refill oil via filler neck B (see § 14.3.3. Specifications axles / brakes / tyres );
5. Mount the filler plug B ;
6. Carry out the above mentioned steps for all axle hubs on the driven axles (see Picture 11-1 ).
CHECK / TEST!
Check the oil level of the axle hubs every 2 months at normal operating conditions.
