10.9 MULCHING COVER (OPTIONAL ATTACHMENT)
Spider ILD01 can be fitted with a mulching cover, which improves the mulching quality on well-maintained
lawns.
With the mulching cover it is possible to mow grass, which is at the most 50% higher than the
selected height of cut (i.e. max. 165 mm). If mowing higher grass, the mulch deck may become
clogged and the mulching quality may deteriorate.
Principles of quality mulching:

Always mow after the growth has dried properly.

When mowing thick or moist grass use lower driving speed

If a low cut is required, you may need to mow the area twice: for the first time with the mower deck set
up higher and for the second time with the mower deck set up low.

Keep the mower deck clean. Regularly remove remains of grass from the mower deck.

Regularly check the condition and sharpness of the blade.
Mounting of the mulching cover

Shut the machine down and disconnect the minus pole from the battery and spark plugs.

Tip the machine over to the servicing position (hydraulic tank down).

Clean the mower deck.

Insert the mulching cover in between the mower deck and the cover clips (make sure the mulching kit
is correctly orientated)

Push the cover into the mower deck until the clips lock in the openings in the mulching cover.

Make sure the mulching cover is properly secured again movement and cannot accidently fall out.

Turn the blade in on order to make sure that the blade does not collide with the mulching cover.

Tip the machine back on its wheels.

Reconnect the spark plug and the battery.
Dismounting of the mulching cover

Shut the machine down, disconnect the minus pole from the battery and disconnect the spark plugs.

Tip the machine over to the servicing position (hydraulic tank down).

Clean the mower deck.

Unlock the clips holding the mulching cover and pull the mulching cover out.
-
Tip the machine back on its wheels.
-
Reconnect the spark plug and the minus pole of the battery.
