7.1 Introduction
The handheld pulse oximeter is designed to operate on three 1.5V alkaline AA
batteries or a rechargeable lithium ion battery. Under normal circumstances, no
special maintenance is needed.
When alkaline batteries or a lithium ion battery is used, the battery icon indicates
the battery status as follows:
1.
Indicates that the power of the battery is full ;
2.
Indicates that the power of the battery is 3 grids left;
3.
Indicates that the power of the battery is 2 grids left ;
4.
Indicates that the power of the battery is 1 grid left ;
5.
Indicates that the battery is almost depleted.
Battery power supply can only last for a period of time. If the voltage of batteries
is too low, an alarm of “Battery Low” will be triggered. If alkaline AA batteries are
used, please change them timely; if a rechargeable battery is used, please insert
the monitor to battery charger and connect the charger with commercial power
to charge the battery. The monitor will be switched off automatically 10 minutes
after the first “Battery Low” alarm is given.
Caution: Remove the batteries prior to shipping or if the
monitor is not likely to be used for an extended period of
time.
Warning:
•
Use only batteries specified in this manual.
•
Keep the batteries out of children’s reach.
•
When the monitor is not in use for a long time, the
battery should be removed from it. Dispose of battery in
accordance with local ordinances and regulations.
