Automatic BIT
The detector automatically performs a BIT every 15 minutes. A successful BIT
sequence does not activate any indicator.

Manual BIT
The BIT is manually initiated by momentarily connecting Terminal 3 with Terminal
2 (or a switch across these terminals in the safe area).
If the BIT is unsuccessful, all outputs will function as described for automatic BIT,
but the BIT now automatically executes every minute. This continues until a
successful BIT occurs, when the detector will resume normal operation.
The results of a successful and unsuccessful Manual BIT are listed in Table 10 and
Table 11.
