To perform the functional check:

Position the functional check filter in front of the SafEye detector.

Center the functional check f
ilter’s window over the viewing window of the
detector.

Wait 20 seconds.

Read the 0
–
20mA current. Determine the difference between the reading
taken with and without the functional check filter. This difference is the 0
–
20mA current variance.

Record the 0
–
20mA current variance in the maintenance logbook. If the
variance is more than a 30% change when compared to the previous check
(see delivery form), repeat the alignment.
