Persons / Product
• The product may only be installed by a specialist who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE).
Electric installations that are laid or handled incorrectly endanger not only yourself but also others! There is
a risk of life-threatening electric shock!
• To ensure the safety of the user and protect against accidental contact with dangerous voltages, the product
has to be installed in such a way that makes contact with the terminals impossible. The product must not be
operated if it has not been installed properly.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the
product.

4. Installation and connection
Make sure that the mounting area can support the weight of the loudspeaker.
The loudspeaker is to be fixed firmly to prevent it from falling and thus to avoid the risk
of injuries.
Before cutting out the installation opening ensure that no electric cables, water pipe or are
similar are at risk of damage behind the mounting location.
Be sure to follow the safety instructions of the tool manufacturer when using tools to
install your speaker.
When connecting the device, make sure the connecting cables are not pinched or
damaged by sharp edges.
The connection may only be made to suitable loudspeaker outputs on audio devices.
Make sure that the data for impedance and/or load stated in the Technical Data table
are in agreement with the data for the connected amplifier. Otherwise, damage to the
loudspeaker or the amplifier can occur.
The amplifier to which the loudspeaker is to be connected must be disconnected from the
power supply while the connection is being made (unplug the power plug!)
• Make sure that the installation location has the necessary installation depth (see Technical Data).
• Saw out the installation opening (for diameter see Technical Data).
• Lay the loudspeaker cabling from your amplifier’s speaker output to the installation location.
• To mount the loudspeaker, first remove the protective grid from the speaker.
- To do this, turn the mounting bracket on the loudspeaker frame as far as it will go to the outside (Fig. 1a).
- Then push the mounting brackets down (Fig. 1b). By doing so the protective grid will be pushed out of
the loudspeaker frame.
• Before final assembly, connect the loudspeaker to the amplifier.
Hi-fi system connection:
• Remove the red and black connection cable from the terminals.
• Connect the cables of your hi-fi system to the connectors, observing the correct polarity.
Electro-acoustic (ELA) system connection:
• Ensure the red and black connection cable is properly connected to the terminals, taking into account the
correct polarity.
• Connect your electro-acoustic system to the lustre terminal’s relevant connectors:
- Connect the negative terminal to the shared cable (black).
- Connect the positive terminal to the connector with the required wattage. Please see table to attribute
the correct cable colour:

• Turn the mounting brackets on the built-in loudspeaker inwards to the stop.
• Then insert the speaker into the assembly opening (Fig. 2).
• Fasten the loudspeaker by fastening the screws on the mounting bracket clockwise (Fig. 3a). When this is
done, the mounting bracket will automatically turn outwards until it meets the stop (Fig. 3b).
• Replace the loudspeaker protective grid on the loudspeaker frame (Fig. 4).
