18.6 SET CAT Menu
The
SET
CAT
menu allows setting (or exclusion) of the
CAT
(
C
omputer
A
ided
T
ransceiver) interface. This interface, if present in the connected transceiver, allows the
amplifier to read frequency and band information from the transceiver even whilst in
receive mode. This means the antenna switch and ATU settings are effected even
whilst in receive mode.
During transmission the internal logic bound to the frequency-counter measurements
will override (eventually correct) and validate this information.
When the
SET
CAT
menu is entered, the current setting is selected:
To change the current setting to a new one, select one of the proposed choices using
the arrow keys ([

] [
▼►
]) and then confirm it using the [
SET
] key:
Next will be presented a new menu showing the supported models (e.g. the ICOM
transceivers are equipped with two kinds of interface: CI-V and VOLTAGE_BAND): the
choice selected has to be validated using the [
SET
] key:
