I n st a lla t ion / Con n e ct ion s
Choose t he m ount ing locat ion where t he unit will not int erfere wit h the norm al driving funct ion of t he
driver.

Before finally inst alling t he unit, connect t he wiring and m ake sure t hat t he unit works properly.
‚
Consult wit h your nearest dealer if inst allat ion requires t he drilling of holes or ot her m odificat ions of t he
vehicle.
‚
I nstall t he unit where it does not get in t he driver's way and cannot inj ure t he passenger if t here is a
sudden stop, like an em ergency st op.
‚
I f inst allat ion angle exceeds 30° from horizontal, t he unit m ay not perfor m properly.
‚
Avoid inst alling t he unit where it would be subj ect to high t em perat ure, such as from direct sunlight , or
from hot air, from t he heat er, or where it w ould be subj ect t o dust , dirt or excessive vibrat ion.

Rem ove t he m ount ing sleeve ( 1) fr om t he unit .
‚
Slide t he m ount ing sleeve int o the 2- DI N
inst allat ion slot provided for t he car radio.
‚
At t ach t he m ount ing sleeve by bending t he
inst allat ion brackets t owards t he out side with a
screwdriver. The sleeve is properly inst alled
when it can no longer be pulled out , yet also
keeps from sliding int o t he installat ion slot .
‚
Connect t he cable set and t he antenna t o t he
vehicle’s elect ronics corresponding t o t he
connect ion t able ( see farther).
‚
At t ach t he m ount ing racks t o t he sides of t he
unit , and fix t hem wit h t he screws as in ( 2) .
‚
I nsert t he unit into t he m ount ing sleeve unt il t he
st op ( 3) . The unit t hen audibly snaps int o t he
sleeve.
‚
Fast en t he four screws ( 4) t o fix t he unit t o t he m ount ing sleeve.
