H a n dlin g com pa ct discs
Do not insert anyt hing ot her t han a CD int o t he CD loading slot.
Do not use cracked, chipped, warped, or ot herwise dam aged discs as t hey m ay
cause skipping or noise dam age t he player .

Handle t he disc only by t he edges ( as shown in t he pict ure) . To keep discs clean do not t ouch it s surface.

St ore discs in t heir cases w hen not in use.

Do not expose discs t o direct sunlight , high hum idit y, high tem perat ure or dust .

Prolonged exposure t o ext rem e tem perat ure (such as leaving t he discs in your car during sum m ert im e)
can w rap a disc.

Do not at t ach labels, wr it e on or apply chem icals t o the surface of t he discs.
‚
Do not t ouch t he recorded surface of the discs.

Use 12- cm CDs. Use only convent ional, fully circular discs. Do not use shaped discs.

Wipe wit h a soft clot h. I f t he cabinet is very dam pen ( not dropping wet ) t he cloth wit h a
weak solut ion of soapy w at er, and t hen wipe clean.
Clea ning d iscs
Fingerprints should be carefully wiped from t he surface of disc wit h a soft clot h. Unlike convent ional records,
com pact discs have no grooves t o collect dust and m acroscopic dirt , so gent ly wiping t hem with a soft clot h
should rem ove m ust panicles. Wipe in a st raight m ot ion from t he cent er t o t he edge. Never use t hinner
benzine, record cleaner or ant i stat ic spray on a com pact disc. Such chem icals can dam age it s plast ic sur face.
