No battery charging icon appears when device starts charging
It may take a few minutes before the battery icon appears on the screen.

The device does not recognise my wired headset

Make sure the wired headset that you are using complies to the CTIA standard. Your
device supports the CTIA standard, and may not be fully compatible with other
standards such as OMTP.
•
If you have a wireless headset that is compatible with your device, try using that
instead.
I cannot transfer content between my device and the computer,
when using a USB cable
The software or the USB drivers have not been properly installed. Go to
www.sonymobile.com
for more detailed installation instructions and troubleshooting
sections.
I cannot use Internet-based services
Make sure your subscription covers data downloads and that the Internet settings in
your device are correct. See
Internet and messaging settings
on page 36 for more
information on how to enable data traffic, data roaming, and download Internet
settings. Contact your network operator for more information about your subscription
settings.
Error messages
No network coverage
•
Your device is in Airplane mode. Make sure Airplane mode is turned off.
•
Your device is not receiving any network signal, or the received signal is too weak.
Contact your network operator and make sure that the network has coverage where
you are.
•
The SIM card is not working properly. Insert your SIM card in another device. If this
works, it is probably your device that is causing the problem. In this case, contact the
nearest Sony service center.
Emergency calls only
You are within range of a network, but you are not allowed to use it. However, in an
emergency, some network operators allow you to call the international emergency
number 112. See
Emergency calls
on page 40 for more information.
