2-2. Notes on Parts Replacement
2-2-1. Front Panel Assembly
1. Replacing the Nylon Ring
The WRR-855B is attached to a Camcorder or its adapter using four screws (+P2.6x10) on the front panel assembly.
The nylon rings must therefore be attached to the correct position so that the these screws have the same length.
How to attach the nylon rings

Push in a nylon ring to the deepest end using tweezers.

Use a flat plane to align the tips of the screws with the front panel.

Apply the adhesive on the bold line.
The start and end of the shield rubber
must meet without any gap between
them, but nor must they overlap.

3. Replacing the Switch Spacer
The switch spacer is used as drip-proof part.
When replacing the switch spacer, follow the
procedure below and attach it securely.

Coat the area shown in the following
illustration with adhesive.
* Required adhesive : Loctite Prism 454
(commercially available)

While aligning the hole of the switch
spacer with the protrusion of the front
panel, attach the switch spacer on the
front panel.
Note : Press the area of the switch spacer
which is coated with adhesive for
5 seconds for each area (using the
back of tweezers) until the switch
spacer is firmly attached.
2. Replacing the Shield Rubber
Replace the shield rubber as follows.

Cut a length of shield rubber (min. 204 mm, preferably about 210 mm).

Coat the ten locations marked with black round marks ( ) in the
following illustration with adhesive.
(approximately 0.1 ml (mg) for each location)
* Required adhesive : Loctite Prism 454 (commercially available)

Attach the shield rubber starting from either point A or B.
The start and end of the shield rubber must meet without any gap
between them. Cut and remove the surplus length of the shield rubber.
