Troubleshooting
Songs/videos cannot be played, or photos cannot be
displayed.
The battery charge is depleted.
Charge the battery fully.
If your “WALKMAN” still does not react, even after charging the battery, press the
RESET button to reset your “WALKMAN.”
Songs, videos, or photos transferred by drag-and-drop are not in the appropriate data
hierarchy levels.
Place the data in the appropriate folders and data hierarchy levels.
Transferred files are not in a format that can be played on your “WALKMAN.”
For information on the playable files, see “Supported formats”
Some files may
not be played back, depending on their file specifications.
You transferred MP4 audio files to the [Video] folder by drag-and-drop.
Drag and drop MP4 files to the [Music] folder on your “WALKMAN” when transferring
them.
Formatting your “WALKMAN” failed to complete, or you formatted your “WALKMAN” on
the computer.
Retry formatting your “WALKMAN.”
If the problem still persists after performing the remedies above, press the RESET button
to reset your “WALKMAN.”
