
Connecting a Flat-Panel Display
The port replicator includes a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) port, which enables you to connect your computer to a flat-panel
display. To connect to a flat panel display, you must use a DVI-D or DVI-D/I display cable. If you wish to purchase a cable,
contact your local retailer.
Your port replicator also includes a Monitor (VGA) port. For Monitor port connections, see
Using Computer Monitors and

for more information.
To connect the computer to a flat-panel display
1.
Connect the computer to the port replicator. See
Connecting a Port Replicator
for more information.
2.
Plug the flat-panel display into an AC outlet.
3.
Plug the display cable into the DVI port
on the port replicator.
4.
Turn on the computer and flat-panel display.
5.
Press the
Fn
+
F7
keys to toggle the display between your computer, the flat-panel display, or both the computer
and flat-panel display. See

You cannot use the Monitor (VGA) port on your computer when a port replicator is connected to the computer. Use the
DVI or Monitor (VGA) port on the port replicator instead.
