A/V SEPARATE Function
This function is available with the data only through the RS-232C port.
Normally when switching a Crosspoint, audio and video signals are switched together. Using the A/V SEPARATE function
allows you to switch the audio signal separately from the video signal. For example, routing background music from a CD
player while displaying pictures on a projector can be easily accomplished.
When the A/V SEPARATE function is used, the indicators are as follows:
Example: Routing only audio from INPUT 1 to the output channels without picture
With the output channels separated by the A/V
SEPARATE function, two indicators light up
simultaneously.
The A/V SEPARATE and REMOTE
indicators light up.
NOTE
With the output channels separated by the A/V
SEPARATE function, two indicators light up
simultaneously. However, it is impossible to distinguish
between video and audio. Check them at the host side
(A/V controller or computer).
