connection between the RS-232C port and the external

Cable: Multicore shielded cable for data

NOTE
You can format the same preceeding data as PVS-880S
and the PVS-1680S. However, do not set more than
twelve inputs and four outputs for the Crosspoint
buttons to prevent damage to the hardware.
The PVS-1240S can be controlled from equipment with the RS-232C port, such as the SRP-C5000 system controller, or from a
personal computer via its RS-232C port.
Data Format
Data format is set as follows:
For communication protocol, refer to the separate “PVS-1240S RS-232C Interface Manual” available from a Sony office in your
area.
Mode: Asynchronous
Data length: 8 bits
Baud rate: 9600 bps
Parity check: Odd parity
Stop-bit length: 1 bit
Bit sequence: Send from the least-significant bit.
Connector-Pin Assignment
The RS-232C port is a 25-pin D-SUB connector (female).
