Installing and updating applications

Installing software from the application CD-ROM

Some applications of your VAIO’s software package are ready for installation from the supplied application
CD-ROM (the final CD in the set of product recovery CD-ROMs). The application CD-ROM also contains most
of the software that was already installed on your computer.

Before installing new software, make sure you close all open applications.

To install an application from the supplied CD-ROM, proceed as follows:

Turn on your computer (using AC power only) and wait until Windows

®

has booted up.

Insert the

final

product recovery CD-ROM (application CD) into the disc drive.

Open the drive through

My Computer

and open the

Apps

folder.

4

Open the folder of the application you want to install.

5

Double-click the

Setup

file.

6

Follow the instructions in the

Installer

.

7

Make sure you select

Yes, I want to restart my computer now

if you are asked to.

Click

Finish

.

Installation is complete and your computer restarts.
