Connecting a Digital TV Receiver with Component Connectors
Disconnect all power sources before making any connections.
Be sure to read the digital TV receiver’s manual.
1
Using three separate component video cables, connect the digital TV
receiver’s Y, P
B
and P
R
jacks to the LCD projection TV. Use the HD/
DVD IN 5 or 6 inputs.
2
Using audio cables, connect the digital TV receiver’s AUDIO OUT
jacks to the LCD projection TV’s AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks (HD/DVD
IN 5 or 6).
✍
The Y, P
B
and P
R
jacks do not provide audio, so audio cables must
be connected to provide sound.
✍
Component video connection is necessary to view 480i, 480p, 720p,
and 1080i formats. For 480i signal, you may also use the S VIDEO or
composite video connections, however, component video (Y, P
B
, P
R
)
will provide the best picture quality for all format types.
