Installing Wide area Object Detection system

Preparations

This chapter describes the installation of the application 
software, connection of the camera to the network and 
software prerequisites that you need to know before 
daily operation of the camera.

Installing Wide area 
Object Detection system

Install the Wide area Object Detection system 
application software from the supplied CD-ROM to 
your computer.
The Wide area Object Detection system application 
software is composed of Operator Tool and 
Administrator Tool. The following installation 
procedure allows installation of the two tools.

Note

The local administrator right is required for installing 
the application software.

Insert the supplied CD-ROM disc into your CD-
ROM drive.
The contents of the CD-ROM are displayed.

Open the 

WODs

 folder.

Start 

Setup.exe

.

The installation wizard for Wide area Object 
Detection system appears on the screen.

Shut down any other windows programs that may 
be running and click 

Next

.

The 

User Interface Language

 dialog appears.

Select the language for the user interface to be 
installed and click 

Next

.

The 

License Agreement

 dialog appears.

Read the License Agreement carefully, and if you 
accept the agreement, select 

I accept the terms of 

the license agreement

 and click 

Next

.

The 

Choose Program Directory

 dialog appears.

If you install the program in the default folder, click 

Next

.

The default program directory is set to “C:\Program 
Files\Sony Wide area Object Detection system”.

To change to another directory, click 

Browse...

, 

navigate to a folder in which to install the program, 
and click 

OK

. Then click 

Next
