2-3. Procedure for SY-310 Board
Replacement
When replacing the SY-310 board, perform the following
procedure.

Replace the old MAC address label with the new one.
.
Rewriting of a serial number
2-3-1. Re-sticking of MAC Address Label
When replacing the SY-310 board, it is necessary to
change the MAC address label that is stuck on the bottom
of the unit, to the new one. When replacing the SY-310
board, replace the old label with a new MAC address label
that is supplied with the new SY-310 board.
2-3-2. Rewriting of Serial Number
Required Equipment
.
Alarm input/output and serial communication IF board
(IF-954 board): J-6433-100-A
.
SNC-Z20 Modify Tool software (J-6433-110-A)
.
RS-232C cable (D-sub 9-pin, cross cable)
.
Personal computer (Hereafter referred to as PC)
.
Power supply for SNC-Z20N/Z20P
(24 VAC or 12 V DC, 9 W or more)
.
Power supply for IF-954 board (5 V DC, 100 mA)
Preparation
1. Remove the lower cover of the SNC-Z20N/Z20P.
(Refer to step 2 in Section 1-2-1.)
2. Connect each equipment according to the figure in
Section 2-1-2 in the power off state.
(However, do not connect the network cable.)
3. Set the DIP switch S602 to test mode of the SY-310
board.
4. Turn on the power of each equipment.
5. Check that the power indicator (green) of SNC-Z20N/
Z20P is blinking (indicating the test mode).
6. Install the SNC-Z20 Modify Tool software to PC.
(Only when it is not installed.)
Rewriting of Serial Number
1. Start the SNC-Z20 Modify Tool software. Then,
SNC-Z20 Modify Tool Adjuster screen is displayed on
the PC monitor.
2. Click Connect button. Then, following dialog box
appears on the PC monitor.
3. Select “Yes”.
4. Check the following specification is satisfied.
Specification:
.
“Complete!” should be indicated in
Status column.
.
Text box of Serial Number should be
blanked, therefore it may possible to
writing.
5. Release the check marks of all (RTC, System and
WEB) in the Programs column.
6. Type a new serial number in the text box of Serial
Number.
7. Click Write button, then confirm the following
specification is satisfied.
Specification: “Complete!” should be indicated in
Status column.

To check the serial number writing is performed correctly,
click Connect button again. Then, latest information for
the SNC-Z20N/Z20P is indicated on the screen.
