1-5. Backup Battery Replacement
The SY-310 board contain the Vanadium-lithium
rechargeable battery for the backup.

When replacing the part, be sure to use the specified one
below.
Replacement with a part other than the specified part will
result in fire hazards and electric hazards.

When replacing the battery, check that the battery
orientation (

) is correct.
1. Remove the upper and lower covers. (Refer to Section
1-2-1.)
2. Remove the front panel. (Refer to Section 1-2-2.)
3. Remove the rear panel. (Refer to Section 1-2-3.)
4. Remove the SY-310 board. (Refer to Section 1-3-1.)
5. Remove the two solder portions on the SY-310 board,
then remove the vanadium lithium rechargeable
battery.

6. Install the vanadium lithium rechargeable battery in
the reverse order of steps 1 to 5.

Be sure that the soldering iron does not contact with
the battery directly.

Perform soldering at the temperature less than 350
d
C
within 5 seconds. When applying the soldering iron
again, wait until the battery has cooled down to
room temperature.
