Preparations for a wired
connection
You need the following devices to connect the
unit to a wired network.
LAN cable (network cable)
Broadband router
Hub (if a port is unavailable on the broadband
router)
The connection configuration depends on
whether an unused port is available on the device
to which your computer is connected.
When an unused port is available on
the broadband router to which your
computer is connected
Connect the unit to the broadband router with a
LAN cable.
When an unused port is not available
on the broadband router to which
your computer is connected
You need to add a hub. Connect the hub to the
broadband router, and then connect the unit to
the hub.
When there is only one port on
the device and your computer is
connected to the port
You need to add a broadband router. Disconnect
your computer from the device and connect a
broadband router to the device. Then connect
your computer and the unit to the router.
For details on the setup procedure, refer to the
operating manual supplied with the broadband
router.
