1-5. Replacing the Optical Filter Block
1. Remove the lens. (Refer to Section 1-2.)
2. Remove the upper case. (Refer to Section 1-3-1.)
3. Remove the front assembly. (Refer to Section 1-3-3.)
4. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN103)
on the BI-227/228 board.
5. Remove the three screws (PSW2
x
5).
6. Remove the screw (B2.6
x
12), then remove the
shading plate, compression coil plate and slider plate.

Be careful not to lose the shading plate.
7. Remove the two screws, then remove the BI-227/228
board.
8. Remove the seal rubber and optical filter block from
the CCD cover assembly.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Do not handle the optical filter block with bare
hands.

When installing the BI-227/228 board, align the two
holes with the two dowels of the CCD cover assem-
bly, then securely install it.

When attaching the slider plate, align the three holes
with the two pins and the dowel of the front assem-
bly, then securely attach it.
