Making a recording
Before operation
Set DISPLAY to LCD in the menu settings (The
default setting is LCD.) (p. 124).

Insert a blank tape (or a tape you want to
record over) into your camcorder and insert a
recorded tape into the VCR.

Recording a programme
When you have finished dubbing the
tape
Select
, then press the centre
z
on the control
button on your camcorder and stop the playback
of the VCR.
If your VCR is a monaural type
Connect the yellow plug of the A/V connecting
cable to the video output jack and the white or
red plug to the audio output jack on the VCR.
When the white plug is connected, the left
channel audio is output, and when the red plug
is connected, the right channel audio is output.
If your VCR has an S video jack
Connect using the S video plug to faithfully
obtain original pictures. With this connection,
you do not need to connect the yellow (video)
plug of the A/V connecting cable. Connect the S
video plug to the S video jack of the VCR. This
connection produces higher quality MICROMV
format pictures.
Note (DCR-IP7E only)
When you press MEMORY PLAY on the Remote
Commander in step 5, an image recorded on the
“Memory Stick” is displayed. If you select REC
START, then press the centre
z
on the control
button, the image will be recorded on the tape.
To stop memory playback, press MEMORY
PLAY on the Remote Commander again.
When using the i.LINK cable
Simply connect the supplied i.LINK cable to the
i.LINK (MICROMV) jack of your camcorder and
to the i.LINK (MICROMV) jack of the MICROMV
product. With digital-to-digital connection, video
and audio signals are transmitted in digital form
for high-quality editing. (You cannot connect the
camcorder to a DV product.)

ayдиоcигнaлa нa видeомaгнитофонe. Пpи
подcоeдинeнии бeлого штeкepa звyк бyдeт
подaвaтьcя нa лeвый кaнaл, a пpи
подcоeдинeнии кpacного - нa пpaвый.
Ecли в Baшeм видeомaгнитофонe имeeтcя
гнeздо S video
Bыполнитe cоeдинeниe c помощью paзъeмa S
video для полyчeния выcококaчecтвeнного
изобpaжeния. Пpи дaнном cоeдинeнии нe
нyжно подcоeдинять жeлтый штeкep (видeо)
cоeдинитeльного кaбeля ayдио/видeо.
Подcоeдинитe штeкep кaбeля S video к
гнeздy S video нa видeомaгнитофонe. Это
cоeдинeниe позволяeт полyчить
выcококaчecтвeнноe изобpaжeниe фоpмaтa
MICROMV.
Пpимeчaниe (только модeль DCR-IP7E)
Пpи нaжaтии кнопки MEMORY PLAY нa
пyльтe диcтaнционного yпpaвлeния в пyнктe
5 бyдeт отобpaжeно изобpaжeниe,
зaпиcaнноe нa “Memory Stick”. Ecли выбpaть
REC START, a зaтeм нaжaть нa цeнтp

зaпиcaно нa лeнтy. Для оcтaновки

Пpоcто подcоeдинитe пpилaгaeмый кaбeль
i.LINK к гнeздy i.LINK (MICROMV) Baшeй
видeокaмepы и гнeздy i.LINK (MICROMV)
пpодyктa MICROMV. Пpи иcпользовaнии
цифpового cоeдинeния видeо- и
ayдиоcигнaлы пepeдaютcя в цифpовой фоpмe
для поcлeдyющeго выcококaчecтвeнного
монтaжa. (Bидeокaмepy нeльзя подключить к
пpодyктy DV.)

Notes
•When an incompatible picture (such as one
recorded with the DV format) is input, the
message “INPUT ERROR” appears.
•You can connect only one recorder using the
i.LINK cable.
When you dub a picture in digital form
The colour of the display may be uneven.
However, this does not affect the dubbed picture.
If you record a playback pause picture with
the i.LINK (MICROMV) jack
The recorded picture becomes rough. And when
you play back the picture using your camcorder,
the picture may jitter.
Note
First, start playback or turn to the playback pause
mode before the camcorder starts recording or
turns to the recording pause mode. If no signal is
input into the camcorder, the message “NO
INPUT” appears and the camcorder cannot start
recording.
Before recording
Make sure the MPEG IN indicator appears on the
screen. The MPEG IN indicator may appear on
both pieces of equipment.

нeодноpодным. Oднaко это нe влияeт нa
кaчecтво пepeзaпиcывaeмого изобpaжeния.
Пpи зaпиcи оcтaновлeнного изобpaжeния c
помощью гнeздa i.LINK (MICROMV)
Зaпиcaнноe изобpaжeниe cтaнeт xyжe. Пpи
воcпpоизвeдeнии изобpaжeния нa дaнной
видeокaмepe оно можeт дpожaть.
Пpимeчaниe
Cнaчaлa нaчнитe воcпpоизвeдeниe или
пepeйдитe в peжим пayзы воcпpоизвeдeния,
пpeждe чeм видeокaмepa нaчнeт зaпиcь или
пepeйдeт в peжим пayзы воcпpоизвeдeния.
Ecли cигнaл нe подaeтcя нa вxод
видeокaмepы, появитcя cообщeниe “NO
INPUT”, и видeокaмepa нe нaчнeт зaпиcь.
Пepeд зaпиcью
Убeдитecь, что нa экpaнe появилcя
индикaтоp MPEG IN. Индикaтоp MPEG IN
можeт появитьcя нa обоиx ycтpойcтвax.
