Text Messaging
Text Messaging
You can check your voicemail, send and receive text
messages, and check and send email from within the
Messages
menu.
Voicemail
You can call your voicemail access number from the
Voicemail
menu. Use the
Preferences
menu to enter or
change your voicemail access number.
The one key (
) is always reserved for voicemail
access. Press and hold the one key to quickly call your
voicemail number.
Sending Text Messages (SMS)
Note:
You cannot send SMS messages in analog mode. If
you are in analog mode and attempt to send a message,
the phone will continue to try to send the message for
24 hours. If not sent in 24 hours, the message will go
to
Saved & Drafts
. You will need to resend the
message once the phone is in digital mode.
Note:
At any point when creating an SMS message, you can
press
to see a list of related options.
Use the keypad to enter your text message. You can
enter up to 160 characters per message or the
maximum length set by your service provider.
