Connectivity
You can connect your phone to the Internet, to other compatible devices or to computers.
Wi-Fi™
Using Wi-Fi™ you can access the Internet wirelessly with your phone. You can browse the
Internet at home (personal networks) or in public access zones (hot spots):
•
Personal networks – usually protected. A pass phrase or a key is required from the owner.
•
Hot spots – usually non-protected but often requires you to log on to the operator’s service
before you get Internet access.
Using Wi-Fi
To be able to browse the Internet using Wi-Fi, you need to search for and connect to an
available network and then open the Internet browser.
To connect to a network

Media Server
Your phone has a built-in DLNA™ (Digital Living Network Alliance) media server functionality
that connects to your home network through Wi-Fi™. Other home network client devices
connected to the same home network can access, view and play images and music saved
in your phone. A client device can be, for example, a computer, camera, TV,
PLAYSTATION
®
3 which DLNA™ certified.
Note:
Wi-Fi
™ must be turned on and the phone must be connected to your wireless home
network.
Before using Media Server
Before using
Media server
, you need a Wi-Fi™ network in your vicinity, and a computer
with client software or another client device.
To set your phone as a media server

Applications

Media serv.

Edit the
Phone name
if needed.

Start

Select the Wi-Fi™ network that you want to connect to.

Enter the WEP key.

Server running
appears on the screen. Your phone can now work as a media server.

To minimize the
Media server
, select
Hide
.
Media server
keeps running in the
background.

To stop the server, go to the
Media server
view and select
Stop
.
Phone name changes and media content updates are not reflected on client devices while the
media server is running. In order to reflect such changes on client devices, stop and restart the
media server.
