guide.
No sound coming from either loudspeaker.
• The yellow, red and white plugs have not been inserted properly.
- Carefully insert the plugs all the way in.
• The external signal source is not connected properly.
- Check the external unit’s connections and the condition of the cable.
The volume of the loudspeakers is too low.
• One of the connectors has a contact problem.
- Carefully move the plugs.
• The three controls are not set correctly.
- Check the position of the potentiometers.
• The input signal level is too low.
- Turn up the volume of the connected source unit.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Children should be supervised at all times to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
After unpacking the unit, confirm that it has not been damaged during
transit. Keep the packaging away from children if it contains plastic
bags or other potentially hazardous components.
APPLICATION
This two-way, bass-reflex active loudspeaker is extremely well suited
for use with portable equipment such as cell phones, notebook
computers or stationary equipment such as desktop computers,
CD/DVD players, etc. It can be connected to a multitude of equipment
using the included interconnect cables. The unit includes a built-in
power amplifier as well as treble and bass controls.
CONNECTION
Only connect or disconnect external equipment when the unit has been
powered off. Make sure that the connectors used are connected
properly and in the proper polarity. Please route the audio interconnect
cables away from all power cables. Check the state of all connections
before powering on the system (POWER switch on rear panel). The
connections should be solid and short-circuit-free, the VOLUME
controller should be turned to its minimum position and the BASS and
TREBLE tone controls to their middle position. Using an interconnect
cable with two yellow plugs, connect the yellow sockets of the two
loudspeakers. Connect a signal source (CD/DVD, MP3 player,
computer, telephone, etc.) to the unit using the included cable,
according to the colour coding. (White: left audio channel = passive
loudspeaker; red: right audio channel = active loudspeaker)
OPERATION
After having switched on the unit whose signal is to be amplified, turn
on (POWER ON) the active loudspeaker then slowly turn the VOLUME
knob clockwise. The two tone controls can be used to vary the ratio of
bass to treble as desired. When switching the unit on, always ensure
that the volume control is not near its maximum position.
MAXIMUM VOLUME
All speakers must be run in prior to their intended use. In the first 30-50
hours of operation, it should only be operated at 50% load. During this
time, the volume should not be raised near the maximum level. At
higher volumes, you might experience distorted or poor quality sound
in some cases. This can be caused by an input signal being set too
high. In the event of distortion immediately reduce the volume or switch
off the unit if necessary. Connecting components with a higher than
normal output level can easily cause the unit to overload. The system’s
maximum volume level is what allows you to listen to it without
distortion and in good quality. The output level will not increase any
further if the volume is raised even more, only causing additional
distortion. This is extremely harmful to the speaker drivers and can
lead to malfunction. Malfunctions caused by improper use will void the
warranty.
