WARNINGS
1.
Make sure that all connections are made properly.
Improper connection can cause malfunction.
2.
Immediately power off the unit if any malfunction is
detected and seek the assistance of a specialist. Many
malfunctions (no sound, strange odor, foreign object
inside product, etc.) can be easily detected.
3.
Do not
make any cable connections while the unit is
operating. Never turn the system on or off with the
volume fully turned up. Any thump or other impulse
noise can immediately destroy the speaker drivers.
4.
In order to protect the audio system from outside
interference, always lead the audio cables away from
the power cabling.
5.
Protect the appliance from dust,
humidity, liquids, heat, moisture, frost and shock as
well as from direct heat and sunlight. Only for indoor
use in a dry place.
6.
The speaker drivers contain
magnets, therefore, do not place sensitive items (such
as credit cards, magnetic tapes, compasses, etc.) near
them.
7.
Do not expose the unit to splashing water and
do not place any liquid-filled objects such as cups on
top of the unit.
8.
Do not place any open flame sources
such as burning candles on the unit.
9.
Do not
disassemble or modify the unit as this may cause fire,
accident or electric shock.
10.
Improper installation or
use will void the warranty.
11.
Due to ongoing
improvements and development, the specifications
and design are subject to change without notice.
12.
We assume no responsibility for printing errors and
apologize if they should occur.
To prevent possible hearing damage, do not
listen at high volume levels for long periods.
Do not discard with communal waste. At the end
of its life, dispose of product at a facility
specializing in the collection of electronic waste.
If you have any question or remark in connection
with this, contact the seller or local waste
SETUP
The type of loudspeaker should be selected so that its rated power handling is always
greater than the amplifier's rated output power. It should be ideally at least 50%
greater. Depending on the tone controls, even a low-power amplifier can be
hazardous to the loudspeaker. Always switch off the tone controls, particularly the
bass boost circuits. With a properly set up sound system their use is unnecessary and
harmful anyway.
Cable connections can be made using the terminals located on the rear panel of the
loudspeaker cabinet. Red indicates positive while black indicates negative polarity.
2
Recommended cable gauge is at least 2 x 0.75 mm . Connections can be made using
the 6.3 mm terminal as well, however, only one connection method should be
employed at a time! Make sure the amplifier is powered off when making the
connections. Make sure that the connectors used are connected properly and in the
proper polarity. The connections should be solid and short-circuit-free, and the
volume control should be turned to its minimum position. Carefully increase the
volume after switching on the power. Do not switch the amplifier on or off with the
volume control set high as any noise thus generated may damage the loudspeakers.
MAXIMUM VOLUME
All speakers must be run in prior to their intended use. In the first 30-50 hours of
operation it should only be operated at 50% load. Under certain circumstances you
might experience distorted or poor quality sound. This can be caused by the amplifier
being too low in power, resulting in increased distortion at higher volumes.
Excessively high-powered amplifiers, on the other hand, can overload poorly
matched loudspeakers. The system's maximum volume level is what allows you to
listen to it without distortion and in good quality.
The output level will not increase any further if the volume is raised even more, only
causing additional distortion. This is harmful to the loudspeaker and can lead to
malfunction. If a microphone is connected to the amplifier, please locate it as far as
possible from the loudspeaker so as to prevent any feedback from occurring. The
loudspeaker should not be aimed at the microphone because the feedback caused will
damage the speaker drivers. When using a microphone carefully increase the volume
and if feedback is noticeable, immediate reduce the volume and relocate the
loudspeaker if necessary.
CARE
Use only a soft dry cloth to regularly clean the unit. Use a slightly moistened cloth to
clean the plastic components of the unit. The carpet covering can be cleaned using a
vacuum cleaner. Do not use any aggressive cleaners. Do not allow any liquid to enter
the inside of the unit or the connectors.
TROUBLESHOOTING
In the event of malfunction, switch the amplifier off and remove the power plug from
the socket. Try switching it on again later. If the problem is persistent, check the
following notes. This guide can help in pinpointing errors when the unit has
otherwise been connected according to the directions. If required, seek the help of a
professional.
No sound coming from loudspeaker
• The amplifier is switched off.
- Check the amplifier's status and operating state.
• The loudspeaker is not connected properly to the amplifier.
- Check the loudspeaker cable polarity and inspect it for fraying/short-circuits and
proper connection.
Inadequate volume or sound quality
• The loudspeaker is not connected properly to the amplifier.
- Check the loudspeaker cable polarity and inspect it for fraying/short-circuits and
proper connection.
Distorted, poor quality sound
• The amplifier's output power is too high for the maximum loudspeaker load.
- Check the amplifier's rating plate. Ideally the loudspeaker's maximum load should
be nearly double the amplifier's output power. Lower the volume.
