7. Maintenance
7.1. Cleaning the recorder
After each measurement (on a different patient) you should clean the outside of the recorder
and the active electrode connector.
Wipe the outside of the recorder and the active electrode connector carefully with an
lightly
moistured
flannel (not wet).
•
Do not use detergents such as petrol, acetone or any organic solvent.
•
Use a soft clean cloth to clean the parts of the recorder.
•
Do not immerse any part of the recorder in water.
•
IN NO CASE
should you put the recorder or the active electrode connector
into an autoclave sterilizer.
Note: For cleaning and use at another person, 'Sagrotan-spray' is recommended.
7.2. Storing of QUISI
®
•
Keep the QUISI
®
recorder in a dry place, where a
storage temperature of approx. 15°C
is
guarantied (theoretical between -20°C and +40°C). Note, that a to warm or cold storage
temperature can destroy the device accumulators or reduce the life span drastically.
•
If the recorder will be unused during a longer period, you should recharge and let it record
to discharge
every 2 to 3 months
.
7.3. Storing and handling of disposable electrodes
•
Store the packed disposable electrodes at room temperature.
•
Never put any heavy object onto the electrodes.
•
Do not use electrodes later than the expiry date.
•
Use disposable electrodes within 2 months of opening the package.

7.4. Handling of the active electrode connector
•
Handle the active electrode connector with care. It contains integrated circuits, which can be
destroyed by pressure, moisture, twisting or bending the plastic cover.
•
Furthermore the active electrode connector should be
replaced annually
.
