If the battery is mounted outside the casing:

Feed through the cable via the opening

made on the
back of the casing.
Position the cable grommet on the cable or use a special
-
slit cable grommet to enable fitting without removing the
connectors, and to ensure that the opening is leaktight.
3.2.2 Glue mounting
Somfy does not recommend glue mounting the battery,
especially on non-smooth and porous surfaces such as
plastering, concrete, wood.
The ambient temperature during gluing must be between
20°C and 38°C.
Caution! Thoroughly clean the chosen mounting locations
with an isopropyl alcohol and water mixture (50/50) based
solvent or with a heptane based solvent.
Observe the safety instructions for solvent use during the
cleaning phases.
1) If installing the battery outside the roller shutter casing,
make an opening on the back of the casing, to feed
through the battery cable inside it:
Cut a half-oblong 10 mm in diameter and 15 mm

long from the edge of the casing, as per the diagram
opposite.
Remove the protective paper from the adhesive on the

back of the battery.
Press the battery uniformly against the cleaned surface

to mount it.

4. Wiring
Caution! The cables and connectors must be protected from
the roller shutter movement.
Somfy recommends placing the connectors behind the end
piece and fixing the cables inside the roller shutter casing.
Wire the solar panel 2-pin connector
1)
(or the Y cable
connecting two solar panels) to the battery connector
(A).
