AILERON TRIM TABS – INSPECTION 

 

1.  AILERON TRIM TABS – INSPECTION 

A.  Check the aileron trim tab and surrounding aileron for loose or missing rivets.  
B.  Inspect aileron and trim tab skin for cracking.  Pay particular attention to the 

corner cutouts around the trim tab.  

C.  Check the condition of the trim tab adjustment screws.  Screws that are worn or 

damaged should be replaced.  

D.  Loosen adjustment screws and check trim tab hinge plates for cracks or 

permanent deformation.  Adjust trim tab to previous setting and tighten 
adjustment screws.
