Figure 14. Battery charger connector on the
I-V Measurement Unit
Charging the battery can take up to 6 hours. If you are using your
I-V Measurement
Unit
heavily, we suggest you charge it each night.
The PVA software interface will warn you when approximately one hour of battery life
remains. Also, you can check the battery voltage level by clicking on the Ready button
following an I-V measurement, or by selecting, Battery Level in the Utility menu.
The software user interface displays the
Disabled
alert (below the
Measure Now
button) when the battery is nearing the end of its charge. In this state, no measurements
can be taken.
CAUTION
The I-V Measurement Unit cannot be operated while the battery is charging.
Charging the SolSensor Battery of the Original SolSensor
The SolSensor battery is not removable. It may be recharged by attaching the battery
charger to the charging connector on SolSensor shown in Figure 15 and plugging the
charger into an AC wall-plug.
Figure 15. Charger connected
If you are using SolSensor heavily, we suggest you charge it each night.
There is no indicator on SolSensor to indicate that it is charging.
