3 • Behind the wheel of your e-Solex
3.3 Before moving off

You must check:
- the cleanliness of the license plate and the rear
and front lights,
- the cleanliness of the rear and side reflectors,
- the wear and the tyre air pressure,
- the wear of the brakes' discs,
- the battery's charge level.
You must verify that the following work well:
- the front and rear brakes,
- the front and rear lights,
- the stop light,
- the warning horn,
- the accelerating handle,
- the blinkers (optional).
3.4 Starting the engine
Before each use, make a general verification to make sure that your
e-Solex
can be used safely.
1- Open the door of the battery compartment with the ignition key.
2- Carefully place the battery in its place.
3- Close the battery door by key.
4- Position the key in the ignition (see picture in chapter 1.3).
5- Take the
e-Solex
off of its stand as indicated in chapter 3.6
6- Get onto the
e-Solex
and place yourself in a sitting position,
with your feet on the ground.
7- Push and turn the ignition key to lock the battery into running position,
then let up the pressure on the key and start up: the indicators on
the milometer light up.
8- Turn the accelerator handle: the
e-Solex
moves off.
Once it is completely recharged, your
e-Solex
's battery will provide
you approximately 1
1/2
hours of usage, representing 25 to 40 Kms,
depending on usage conditions: weight of rider, speed of traffic, force
of wind and type of road (flat road, uphill, …), number of stops and
take-offs, tyre pressure…
