BATTERY RECHARGING PROCEDURE
Your
e-Solex
's battery can be recharged in 2 different ways:
1. Recharging it on the
e-Solex
:
turn off the engine and
remove the key from the ignition, connect the charger's cable to
the socket located under the saddle (1) of your e-Solex, then
hook up the charger to a wall socket.
2. Recharging it at home:
turn off the engine, unlock the battery
with the ignition key (see picture on chapter 1.3). Open the bat-
tery compartment with the ignition key. Remove the battery with
the strap handle (2). Lift the battery up carefully and remove from
vehicle. The battery is a fragile component: it must never be hit,
dragged or wet. Always put it down horizontally in a careful man-
ner to recharge it. Connect the charger's cable to the battery's
socket (3) then connect the charger to a wall socket.
Your
e-Solex
's battery recharges to 70% capacity in 4 hours
or 100% capacity in 8 hours.
Charger light indicators:
A colour diode indicator on the charger gives you the battery's
recharging status:
•
Red: recharging
•
Orange: approximately 90% recharged
•
Green: end of recharging
INFORMATION ON THE CHARGER
The recharge connector, located on the battery, the charger socket, located under
the saddle, as well as the charger cable's socket, all have notches that must match
up to ensure of a proper connection during the recharging. To recharge the
battery in an optimal manner, it is recommended that you continue recharging the
battery for 1 additional hour after it has been recharged (after the green diode light
of the charger has lit up). If you leave your e-Solex's charger connected even
though the battery is already completely recharged, it will automatically turn off
after 12 hours. It is in fact programmed to operate for a maximum duration of 12
hours. To turn it back on, disconnect and then reconnect the power supply.
