9.0 OIL SPECIFICATIONS
9.0.1 ENGINE OIL TO BE USED
Use Sole Diesel SAE 15W/40 oil. Its service classification is as follows: as follows:
OIL VISCOSITY:
Select oil viscosity most suitable for the atmospheric temperatures on
which the engine should be operated. Its recommended to use Sole
Diesel SAE 15W/40 oil in all the seasons due to the minimum change
in its viscosity with the temperature changes. This is an all-season oil
for temperatures ranging between -15ºC and +35ºC
9.0.2 GEARBOX OIL
For mechanical geared RONIM-V and SMI-R2 and SMI-R3 gearboxes, it is recommended to use the same type of oil that is
used in the engine, a Sole Diesel SAE 15W/ 40, excepting the following models indicated in the table below.
Attention!
Exist different gearboxes of type RONIM-V and SMIR2, which is necessary use oil type ATF. Gearboxes type SMIR3,
use oil type ATF. These new units are identified with a red label near the oil level stick, as shown in the picture (Fig A,
Fig B).

From serial number indicated in the following table and up, gearboxes require use of automatic transmission oil type
ATF
(NOT SUPPLIED BY SOLÉ S.A.) For another gearboxes, we recommended use the oil that the manufacturer
