VENTING

The vent chart on page 23 identifies the minimum vertical required for a given horizontal run.

The number which corresponds with a given Vertical/Horizontal configuration is the required restrictor
setting. The shaded area below the line indicates that a Power vent will be necessary to support
combustion.

The minimum vertical required for gravity venting is 1 foot.

The maximum vertical allowable without a power vent is 30 feet.

Calculate the horizontal equivalent using the worksheet on page 21.

The maximum horizontal equivalent allowable is 15 feet when supported by a minimum of 4 feet
of vertical in the venting system.

The minimum vertical run required to support combustion can be placed anywhere in the system
and is not required to be immediately at the fireplace.

Power vent runs of up to 110ft with (6) 90

elbows are permitted when using the SOLAS power vent kit

PV-486072. Refer to power vent instructions for additional power vent installation and operation

information.

NOTE:

If your vent configuration requires the use of the

vent restrictor plates, install as shown using the

included ¼-20 KEPS nuts. Use the chart on page 23 as a

guide for the appropriate restrictor position for your

vent configuration.
