6. Battery Maintenance & Replacement 

 

1) Maintenance 

 

When the 

light

 isn’t used for 

lighting

, please switch 

ON

, and charge it 20 hours or 

more under the sunlight, then switch 

OFF. 

 

Please note the battery must recharge 

periodically even if not in use for 3 to 5 months,

the 

battery will be damaged! 

 

2) Replacement

, you should replace the 

rechargeable lead acid battery in the following way:

Remove the face of 

the 

lamp by 

removing the screws

Unscrew 4 

battery 

screws and remove 

the 

cover on 

the 

battery..

Pull out two 

the 

terminals from 

the 

battery and take o

ut the

 old battery.

Replace 

with a 

new battery and remount in reverse steps as done above. 

 

Warning: 

  1) Do it carefully to prevent wires from being damaged. 

2) Be sure that battery polarities are correct. Wrong polarity is dangerous.  

3) Do not dispose of 

the 

old battery. It should be recycled.
