Detaching/attaching the Handle
The carrying handle can be removed from the instrument. To remove it, loosen the handle rocking
screws.

• To remove the handle, hold both sides of the handle and lift it straight above. If you hold the handle
by one hand or incline it, the terminal attached on the handle may be damaged.
• Detach the handle if the prism is located at the zenith.

• Use an adjusting pin (standard equipment) for loosening/tightening the rocking screws if necessary.
To attache the handle, position the handle as shown, tighthen the 2 handle rocking screws securely.
Beam detector for Remote Controller and Terminals (Handle) (Option)

• Never touch the beam detector. The ability of the system to perform Turning may be adversely
affected. If the beam detector is dirty, carefully wipe it with the wiping cloth.
• If the terminals of the handle are wet or dirty, the ability of the system to perform Turning may be
adversely affected. After using instruments in humid or dusty environment, detach the handle and
carefully wipe terminals with the wiping cloth.
