GS-450 / manual / date 2018.5.1
Instructions for Use
Make sure that the main unit is completely cooled down
before storing it.
Fuel canisters should not be carried on an aircraft.
■
Reason
■
Inspect fuel canister before use, and
do not use the product if there are any abnormalities
such as scratches, dents, or rust, as there is a risk of gas
leakage. Also, please check it sometimes during storage.
Inspect and clean fuel canisters from time to
time.
Do not drop this product. Stop use immediately if
the product is dropped or jolted.
Warning
1.
Make sure the flame control valve
knob is shut.
2.
Connect the canister joint with the
fuel canister connection up.
3
.
Set the pot supporter on the top plate.
2
.
Attach the burner body to the top
plate.
1.
Insert the legs into the holes of the
both sides’ of the top plate.
Take out the flame control valve and the hose of the
burner body from the short side of the top plate. It
can not be attached to the long side.
Please be careful not to boil over when using
this product. Due to the structure of the wind-
shield, splitting right under the top plate may
lead to an unexpected accident.
Do not use with the burner body only (parts only).
During using this product, the top plate and the pot
supporter become very hot. Please be careful not to
touch directly.
The space between the bottom of the body and the
bottom becomes hot. Please be careful as there is a
risk of accidental burns.
Assembly Method
How to set up the fuel canister
Install the fuel canister in the upright
position (connection is
on top).
Straighten the hose and keep the main unit and the
fuel canister as separate as much as possible.
When installing or removing the fuel canister, a small
amount of gas may leak. Do not install or remove the
product in places near fire or with in poor ventila-
tion, as it may be flammable and very dangerous.

Warning
Reason Fuel canister are prohibited from being
carried on aircrafts by law.
After using the product, make sure to inspect
and clean the stove before storing.
■
Reason
■
Any dirt or debris could
cause clogging or rusting,raising the
potential for danger or accidents. Ensure
such problems do not occur for the next
time you use it.
Keep both the stove and fuel
canisters out of reach of children
Reason Keep stove and fuel canisters out
of reach of children to avoid danger.
Before disposing fuel canisters make sure it is completely
empty and dispose it separately from other trash to avo-
id the danger of explosion. If the stove is not to be used
for long period of time, detach the fuel canister. Store
the stove in the included case and the fuel canister with
its cap securely in place.
■
Reason
■
The flame control valve may open
accidentlly and cause gas leakage. Grime or
dust in the parts where the stove and fuel
canister connect may cause a malfunction in
the stoves funtionality.
Never use the stove near other heat sources such as
heaters or open fires.
Reason Heat generated from heater
or open fire wil increase the temperature,
causing the fuel canister to become too
hot, potentially leading to an explosion.
Do not use multiple stoves side by side with a single
cooking unit.
Reason If multiple stoves are used
with large pots or single plate grill, the fuel
canisters will be subjected to abnormal heat
levels from each other’ s flames, giving rise to
the danger of explosion due to the rising
internal pressure of the fuel canister.
Never surround the stove with a windshield or use
stones or other devices to increase the span of the
pot support.
Reason
■
The use of wind screen or
stones will cause the heat to buid up in the
area around the fuel canister, cause it to
absorb an abnormal amount of heat. Placing a
pot on top of the stove burner acts like a rod,
further increasing heat built-up. This will cause
temperatures to rise to extremely high levels,
leading to danger of explosion.
■
■
Reason
■
If the main unit is stored with heat, the carrying
case may get melted, or heat may transferred to the fuel canister
and explode. Please make sure the unit is completely cooled down
before storing.
■
Reason
■
Even if the product does not
look damaged, the internal mechanism may be
broken. Please ask a dealer or Snow Peak
Customer service for inspection.
Warning while using this product
●
Do not use the product with a gas leakage, after it had a shock,
with any abnormalities.
●
Before using it, make sure there is no dirt or dust on the flame
control valve. Keep it clean at all times and do not leave it on the
ground. If dust or dirt attaches to it, it may reduce the output pow-
er and cause problems such as no gas being emitted.
●
The gas pressure changes with the air temperature or the tempe-
rature of the fuel canister, and the state of combustion (such
as the condition and power of the flame) changes.
●
The flame may go out or boil over due to strong wind. Please keep
an eye on it while using it.
●
If abnormal combustion occurs, extinguish immediately and stop
using the product.
●
The metal near and in contact with the flame will become burnt
and discolored overtime.
●
Never ignite if you smell gas. Extinguish all fires and flames and
detach the fuel cainster.
Warning about burner body / windshield
●
The windshield surface is coated with enamel. In the manufactu-
ring process, some parts, such as the edges, are difficult to cover
and rust may occur if those parts are in contact
with water or or liquid for a long time.
●
When a strong shock is applied, the enamel surface may crack or
the edge parts may get chipped.
●
When cleaning the product, do not use metal brushes or
abrasive scrubbers.
