Configuring Security Filters
You can use the Security menu to filter MAC addresses or to
enable the security mode.
Configuring MAC Address Filters
Any node that presents a security risk or is functioning improperly
can be filtered from this switch. You can drop all the traffic from a
host device based on a specified MAC address. Traffic with either a
source or destination address listed in the Security Filtering
Configuration table will be filtered.
Notes: 1.
To add a MAC address to the security filter, type an
entry into the MAC Address field, and press Add. The
MAC address that you enter must consist of twelve
hexadecimal digits with no dashes and no spaces.
2.
To modify an address, press the edit icon (
) for the
required entry, make any necessary changes, and then
press Add.
3.
To delete an address, click on the edit icon (
) for the
required entry, and press Delete.

Disables learning of MAC addresses and specifies
an uplink port.
