5. Main Menu
The Main menu enables work with viaGPS 3.0 key features:
5.1. Searching for location
Find location Brings up search menu. It is possible to search the address, center of
the city, intersection of two roads or longitude and latitude of desired
location.
Special characters – it is not necessary to input special characters
( č , đ , ž, ü, ö etc.). Replace special characters with standard
replacement characters (c, z, d, u, o etc.)
„Find address“ can be used when city and street are known.
IMPORTANT!
Use „Find address“ when both city and the street are known
„Center of the city“ should be used for quick
determination of the city,
while exact address is not important.
5.2. Searching for points of interests (POI)
Find business Brings up menu for the search of points of interests –POI. It is
important to pay attention to the definition of the search criteria.
Typical example is search for an airport. The airports in most cases
don't belong to administrative region of the city, so the easiest way to
find them is by defining search area( „where“) as „ in the visible map
area“. Obviously the visible map area must contain the area around
the city ( and the city) where the airport should be looked for.
Some searches for POIs may be conducted close to destination ( „near destination“) or close
to the present position ( „Near me“)
