Determine a Suitable Mounting Location
Before installing the SG-7100, consider the important guidelines provided below.
CAUTION
Ensure the WLAN (Wi-Fi)
antenna is at
least 20 cm away from humans.
CAUTION
Most users install the SG-7100 on a vehicle. It is very important
for installers to install the units in a safe and secure way to avoid
danger or damage to persons or property.
Fasten the unit securely so that it is not loose and does not move easily.
Mount the unit on a rigid, stable surface.
Mount the unit on a surface that does not get hotter than the maximum operating
temperature. If the surface may get hotter, mount the unit with a thermal barrier
between it and the mounting surface.
Do not mount the unit close to other electrical equipment due to possible radiated
and/or conducted electromagnetic interference.
Do not mount the unit where water may build-up or collect. It is not waterproof.
Choose a location where water moves away from the unit.
Check that the unit's cable reaches the power source before you drill any mounting
holes.
Consider the location of the cables and antennas when mounting the unit.
Ensure the LEDs will be visible once mounted.
Once you have picked the mounting location, mount the unit (refer to Section 3.8).
