The lines of the MESCAL 4 have a very high strength at the smallest possible diameter
thanks to intensive testing.
The speed system is easy to operate and efficient. Dyneema and Technora materials
from LIROS have been implemented.
The MESCAL 4 is equipped with 3A,3B and 3C as well as one stabilo line. Thus, line
drag has been considerably reduced in comparison with its predecessor with 4 line lev-
els. The top line of the last cell is attached to the stabilo line.
The brake lines are not load bearing and lead from the trailing edge of the wing over
the main brake through the brake pulley on the C-riser to the brake handle.
The length of the brake line should not be changed from the factory setting, since it is
part of the certification. Changing the setting may lead to altered flight performance if
a certain tolerance is exceeded.
To better distinguish them, the A-lines and A-riser are red, the stabilo line is orange.
The B-lines and the B-harness are yellow and the C-lines and the C-riser are black.
The brake lines are colored orange for better visibility.
The line locks are triangular and an elastic band prevents the lines from slipping.
The MESCAL 4 is equipped with 4 risers. The two inner A-lines lead to the front A-riser,
the outer A-lines lead to the rear A-riser. This helps to make big ears easier.
The B-lines and the stabilo line lead to the B-riser and the C-lines to the C-riser. An illus-
tration of the risers can be found at the end of the instructions.
