Mounting the Reserve Parachute
INSTALLATION OF THE RESERVE CHUTE
Place the reserve chute with the printed side pointing up into the reserve chute compart-
ment of the CULT and place the V-connecting line untwisted next to it. Feed the V-con-
nection line upwards in the side channel.
After the reserve chute has been properly placed into the harness, it must be closed by
means of the cotter pins on the rescue handle. For this you need two short lengths of pa-
rachute line (because of the low friction we recommend unsheathed, not too thin paragli-
der lines), which you thread through the two loops on the outer container. Now, thread the
eyelets of the flaps one after the other. The sequence is given by the respective numbers.

. When this is complete, take the left cotter pin of the rescue handle and in-
sert it through the left loop, to which the piece of parachute line is attached. Then do
the same with the right cotter pin and the right loop. Once the cotter pins are inserted
through the loops, you have to secure them with the rubberlines attached to the handle.
Afterwards the parachute lines can be carefully and slowly withdrawn. Now both cotter
pins should be threaded and the outer container secured and closed. Now insert the two
small cover flaps into their respective places. Be sure to insert the cover flaps complete-
ly into the opening and check the velcros to fit each other. The reserve chute is now com-
pletely fitted into the harness with the rescue handle.
