the battery compartment.

• Close the housing of the radio controlled door/window detector.

8. Maintenance and Cleaning

The product requires no servicing except for battery replacement.

Allow any repair to be carried out by a specialist or specialist workshop.

Clean the product with a soft, clean, dry and lint-free cloth. If you wish to remove heavier dirt,
use a cloth, slightly moistened with lukewarm water.

Never use solvent-based cleansing agents, since this might damage the surface of the plastic
housing.

requirements.

b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries

You, as end user are legal obliged (Battery Regulation) to return all used batteries and
rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in domestic waste is not permitted!

Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked
with the following symbols, they indicate that it is not permitted to  dispose of them
in domestic waste. The designations for the decisive heavy metals are: Cd =
cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.

You can return spent batteries/accumulators and button cells free of charge to any
authorised disposal station in your area, in our stores or in any other store where
batteries/rechargeable batteries/button cells are sold!

You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!

10. Notes on the Range

Ranges and faults

• The door/window detector works on the 433MHz range, also used by other radio controlled

services.  This is why there may be a restrictive operation and range due to devices that work
on the same or a neighbouring frequency.

• The specified range of up to 100 m is the so-called free field range, i.e. the range within visible

contact between the transmitter and receiver. However in real-life operation, there are ceilings,
walls, garages or adjoining buildings between the transmitter and receiver, which affects and
reduces the range accordingly.

• The actual attainable distance between transmitter and receiver in normal operation is heavily

dependent on installation site and environment. Normally, proper operation without problems
with radio reception should be possible in e.g. a detached house.
