8. We recommend that, when asked where to save the files, you select either a location on the
file sharing system (and not on the Skybox Appliance server) or an external drive.
The default location is
/var/tmp/appliance_update_<patch>/backup/
Note: After the update finishes, a log of the process details is at
/opt/skyboxview/utility/log/appliance_update_<patch>.log
9. (Optional) If something went wrong with the update process, you can:

Restore settings files manually

Restore the files together (overwriting the original files but preserving the original
ownership and permissions for the files):
tar -xpjf /var/tmp/appliance_update_<patch>/backup/<Appliance_
backup>.tar.bz2 --overwrite --same-owner -P
