Ventilation
For efficient operation of the chiller, it is essential that adequate ventilation
clearance is provided around the refrigeration unit and cabinet. It is critical
that warm refrigeration exhaust air is not restricted and that it can easily flow
out and away from the cabinet.
Ensure there is unimpeded clearance in front of the kick panel at all times.
Never store cardboard cartons or other items in front or rear of the
refrigeration unit.
Free-standing installations
Free-standing cabinets must have at least 30mm clearance behind
(provided by the rear spacers on the back of the cabinet), 60mm on either
side, and 200mm above the cabinet to allow warm refrigeration unit exhaust
air to flow out and away. If these clearances can’t be met, the installation
should be treated as an enclosed installation, and must be installed with an
air guide as shown below.
Enclosed installations
If the cabinet is installed within an enclosure, there must be a minimum
75mm clearance behind the cabinet, and an air guide must be used to
ensure all exhaust air is directed up and away from the cabinet. Exhaust air
must
NOT
be allowed to run horizontally across the top of the cabinet, as
this may introduce the exhaust air into the cabinet interior.
The air guide must also ensure the air exhaust outlet cannot be blocked by
product or other items above the cabinet.
CAUTION
Ensure adequate ventilation clearance around the refrigeration
unit and cabinet.
