The printer interface is opto-isolated with power delivered from the printer. Most printers deliver a High
(+5V to +15V) signal on one of the connector pins when the printer is operational.
Opto-isolation may be disabled by inserting jumpers J10,J11 and J12 on PCB 717. See fig.31 on page
3-47.
The termminal ’Print RX’ is used for handshake signal input:
If Xon/Xoff handshake is used, this terminal must be connected to the outgoing serial
data pin of the printer. If Busy (High/Low) handshake is used, the terminal must be
connected to the printer Ready/Busy signal output. See page 3-50 for configuration of
printer interface
