Simrad ME70
Channel views
Five channel views are provided in the ME70 presentation. There are three views next to
each other in the top “row”, and one on each side of the
Swath
view. Each channel view
provides the echogram for the chosen beam. In addition, a a number of optional fields
ale available to offer additional information related to the echogram.
The beam displayed in the top centre view is chosen
using the
Beam Selection
button on the
Display
menu.
The chosen beams are indicated in the
Swath
view using
a yellow triangle. Once the beam for the top centre
channel view is selected, the other channel views will
automatically show you the two or three beams “before” and “after” the chosen beam.
• Top left: Chosen beam –1
• Top right: Chosen beam +1
• Bottom left: Chosen beam –2
• Bottom right: Chosen beam +2
Important
If you have selected and enabled two reference beams using the
Reference Beams
tab
in the
Beam Mode
dialog box, the two bottom channel views will always present these
reference beams.
Example 5
Choosing beams for the channel views
If you choose beam 7 with the
Beam Selection
button, the top channel windows will
show you beams 6, 7 and 8, while the bottom channel views will show you beams
5 and 9 – unless you have selected and enabled two reference beams.
Each channel view will by default present
the echogram for the chosen beam, as
well as information fields presenting
beam parameters. Each field – including
the echogram field – can be enabled or
disabled.
