4.5 Watchdog
A HW implemented Watchdog will restart the system if the
application program for any reason is not operating properly.
The external equipment connected to the Alarm Switch will
within 5 seconds detect an alarm condition as long as position
and heading alarm is enabled, see
Expert Setup on page 36 for
details. If so, a message will appear after restart on the display
indicating this (system restart).
4.6 Operation
The HS52 will normally output signals on the serial lines
without any involvement from the user. However, the following
should be taken into consideration during operation:
Adjust Backlight on Display
The rotary knob is used for adjusting the display brightness.
Turn the rotary knob clockwise to increase the brightness and
anti-clockwise to reduce it. For more information on how to
adjust the display settings, see chapter on Display Adjustments,
page 27, on how to proceed.
SBAS Corrections
The display to the left illustrates a typical configuration of SBAS
satellites for WAAS. For more information on how to change the
SBAS settings, see chapter

Selection of Satellites
The current satellite status (November 2005) is:
